Have you ever coloured something, and have the scanner scan the colours completely wrong? That's what happened with those weird yellow-green streaks on her skirt. The pencil I used for extra shading over the watercolour skirt painting was a dark green, but somehow scanned yellowish... But all the rest of the colours scanned fine. What? Must be a difference in the makeup of that watercolour pencil.
Anyways, fanart of President Romana (or should I say Imperiatrix!?) in the outfit she wears on the cover of Imperiatrix. Of course, it looks NOTHING like Lalla Ward AT ALL, but somehow I can only draw Romana I and have it actually look anything like her. Curse you Romana II!
I couldn't think of a colour scheme, so I just painted everything green as shown in the green shades of the CD cover. Although, I wanted it to be as olive green as the CD, but alas, no olive green in my palet.
The little line on her forehead isn't a stray hair, I just forgot to erase all of the facial-placement-guidelines I drew on it.
And now that I think about it, maybe I should have left her sleeves full-lengthed (they were originally), but when I squinted at the very edge of the CD, they looked quarter-lengthed (the picture cuts off around her elbows), so I erased and went with that. But it looks a little bit dorky now.
Ah. XD yeah, the old pictures are kind of unclear, aren't they? I'll have to re-watch an old episode.. I'm sure eventually, she'll have a good close-up. XD
I was mostly going through newer photos of her (since I have a few Gallifrey audios, which have cast photos inside). If they are blue, they're very dark.
And no, I'm not even completely sure. Her eyes always appear a sort of murky hazel, so they could easily be blue in the right lights.
